Approach to Counselling

As a Registered Clinical Social Worker, I offer more than 30 years of experience in mental health and wellness (working with individual adults, couples, youth and children).  In my practice, I provide a strengths-based, solution-focused approach, based on best practices to learn how to manage emotions, deal with failure, stress, and worry, and rebound from tough times.  Together we can explore your thoughts and feelings, identify barriers and build resilience. I offer a supportive, caring and non-judgemental environment so we can work together to set goals, develop skills and work towards your desired outcomes.

Kathleen is very open. She let me talk. She advised. I’m looking forward to more guidance and support as work on moving forward in a good way.
— ER
For a first meeting, Kathleen made it comfortable and easy to get calm(ish). I really appreciate her demeanour.
— SD
Kathleen has been attentive thus far, while we are in the primary stages of working together....she has already explored items that others not. While I am very apprehensive overall, I also feel like this won’t be a waste of time either.
